![]() The drivers provided in Daniel’s package could cause a BSOD or muted audio, but this only happens when using the mentioned update of Windows 10. If you want to install the bundled applications, Daniel Kawakami has provided the Sound Blaster Audigy Series Support Pack, but please do a custom installation and uncheck the “Audio Drivers” after you have installed the Audigy RX drivers manually. If you are using the build 1903 update of Windows 10, the workaround is to install the drivers from an Audigy RX installation package manually via an INF file. Unfortunately, the official Audigy 2 drivers from Creative are not compatible with Windows 10. The idea came from a topic from EVGA forums, where people are talking about the Audigy 2 as a better choice for improving the quality of the audio of a vintage Windows 10 computer. Motherboard audio isn’t the best choice for audiophiles like me, so I looked through several Sound Blaster sound cards on Kijiji Canada until I found an Audigy 2 which would be a perfect fit for my HP Pavilion a6010n. The Sound Blaster Audigy 2 is a nostalgic sound card from the Windows 98/XP days of gaming, but will it work on any mid to late 2000s PC running Windows 10 and has an open PCI (not PCIe) slot on the motherboard? The answer is, Yes it can!
